Design and Build

The 5G-enabled Oppo A58 measures 163.8 x 75 x 8 mm and weighs 188g. it is quite a lightweight smartphone and easily fits in the palm, hence easy to handle. It features a nicely designed body with curved edges comprising of glass and a plastic body frame and back. A side-mounted fingerprint print helps enhance security access to the phone’s data and information. Oppo A58 is IP54 certified, making it water and dust-proof.

Display

Boasting a 6.56-inch IPS LCD, there is certainly sufficient real estate in terms of display space that will impress and encourage you to dig in more. The 720 x 1612 pixels, 20:9 ratio (~269 ppi density) resolution throws in a little shed to an otherwise impressive handset, considering most devices of this price range have 1080p resolution. To compensate for the 720p resolution, Oppo installed 480 nits brightness (typical) and 600 nits (HBM) making the screen brightness slightly above average besides the high refresh rate of 90 Hz to keep the display in peak performance.

Running on Android 12, ColorOS 12.1 OS, Oppo A58 comes packed with the latest applications and upgrades for optimal user experience. To ensure efficiency and prompt response to commands, Oppo packs an efficient Mediatek MT6833 Dimensity 700 (7 nm) chipset that enables seamless multi-tasking and pushing the device to its limits without it lagging or heating up. Backing up the impressive Chipset is an Octa-core (2×2.2 GHz Cortex-A76 & 6×2.0 GHz Cortex-A55) and Mali-G57 MC2 GPU, all of which make the Oppo A58 a powerful, fast and productive handset to have and utilize.

Cameras

Oppo A58 packs a single, 8 MP, f/2.0, 27mm (wide) camera capable of taking pretty good selfies and recording 1080p@30fps videos. At the rear, it packs the main camera, which consists of a double camera set-up comprising of a 50 MP, f/1.8, 27mm (wide), PDAF camera + 2 MP, f/2.4, (depth) lens. The user will capture decent photo shots with the same, besides awesome 1080p@30fps video shots.
