Design and Display

The Watch 4 Pro device has a 1.5-inch LTPO AMOLED color screen, waterproof up to 50m. Its body is made of Glass front, ceramic back, and TC4 titanium frame, giving it a sturdy look and structure to withstand rough handling, durability, and longevity even when exposed to elements. By measurement, the Pro watch stands at an imposing 47.6 x 47.6 x 12.9 mm (1.87 x 1.87 x 0.51 in) and weighs 65g. It is not a tiny watch, but the deliberate design makes it classic and ideal for office/indoors and outdoors.

This watch comes in two variants, one with a titanium strap and the other with a leather strap. With both straps removable, you can opt for the all-metal look or a more sophisticated leather attached to the titanium case.

The screen is big, bright, and sharp, with a pop color. You can always keep the screen set on display if you prefer. Thin bezels provide maximum viewing on the 1.5-inch AMOLED screen, with decent viewing outdoors in the bright sunshine and indoors.

The smartwatch’s single physical button helps launch Huawei’s new Quickbar software feature. The floating crown adds a touch of sophistication to how the watch apps are navigated and smoothens the integration with the onboard software.

The waterproof capabilities on the Huawei Watch 4 Pro allow you to go for a deep dip into the water for up to 50 hours. With a 5 ATM water resistance rating,  you are safe within the 50m zone. It is one of the best smartwatches for depth diving, besides the Huawei Watch Ultimate, which allows you to venture into depths up to 30 meters.

Key Features and Performance

Huawei Watch 4 Pro runs on HarmonyOS 3.0, an upgrade from HarmonyOS 2.0 Watch 4 Series. It is compatible with both iOS and Android platforms; however, pairing it with an iPhone limits the whole experience of the genius of the device, considering you won’t access critical features such as Huawei Music or Huawei Payment support.

Overall, HarmonyOS is all right. It is well optimized for the large, multi-touch screen. Visually, it looks appealing and runs very smoothly. Huawei added new elements to its user interface: you can now choose from more widgets. This quick bar lets you pick from your most used features, a floating task ball that pops a running app to the screen top as you check out another app.

Tracking

You can track your health and fitness even better with your Huawei Watch 4 Pro. The watch comes with new features such as:

• Health Glance: grabs multiple health metrics from a single measurement, including your heart rate, Sp02, and respiratory date.
• ECG Sensor: takes spot measurements when you place your finger on the electrodes built into the flat physical button.
• Auditory Sensors: uses auditory sensors to listen to your cough while in a quiet space to assess your lungs and help you notice any complications for medical follow-up.

The watch comes installed with over 100 workout modes to track your fitness, including diving and route back navigation modes. You recently added running metrics, including the Running Ability, VO2 Max, and others.

Battery

Enjoy up to 4.5 days of typical usage and 12-21 days in ultra-long battery mode. The Fast Charge Mode is equally impressive, allowing you precious time on a short burst of wireless charging. From 2-3 days on the Huawei Watch 3 based on its Wear OS battery performance, the Huawei Watch 4 Pro delivers better battery management (4.5 days).
