Overall Design, Build and Display

Realme C35 weighs 189g and measures 164.4×75.6×8.1mm. It makes the device quite comfortable to hold, carry around and even use as you multi-task. An ergonomic design of the device, with rounded edges, a water-drop, a centered notched front display, and a simplistic look, make it attractive. The 6.6-inch IPS LCD display proudly and beautifully sits on the front of the device. At 1080 x 2408 pixels, it has one of the brightest displays for smartphones in its price range and specifications.

The aesthetic finishing of the budget smartphone makes it worth its face value. The designers put a lot of thought into developing the device, with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, a triple black colored camera ring in a stylish rectangular mount, and an exquisite choice of colors. Realme C35 is available in Kenya and Smartworld Kenya in two unique color options: Glowing Black, and Glowing Green. The back and frame of the Realme C35 are plastic, and the front predominantly displays glass.

Camera.

The front upper center of the device has an 8 MP, f/2.0 aperture, 26mm (wide) camera. Not the best of specifications, but it will give you a good performance both for video and selfie snapshots. The device packs a triple 50 MP (wide camera)+2MP (macro camera)+0.3MP (depth camera) integrated camera system at the rear. Whereas the front camera captures 720p videos@30fps, the rear primary camera captures 1080p videos at 30fps.

Performance and Storage

As a mid-range phone, most features on the Realme C35 are fairly up to the task in a rapidly advancing and demanding environment. It runs on Android 11, Realme Go UI. A 2, 4/6GB RAM, and 64/128GB internal memory provide the necessary space for the default applications and those downloaded by the user for convenience and preferences. A 64/128GB internal memory is quite sufficient for daily optimal running of the device, without running out of space.

Thoughtfully, the phone comes with a MicroSDXC (dedicated slot), enabling an additional 1TB of storage. Although the OS is Android 11, it works perfectly. It performs superbly considering it has a powerful Unisoc Tiger T616 (12 nm) chipset, Octa-core (2×2.0 GHz Cortex-A75 & 6×1.8 GHz Cortex-A55) processor, and Mali-G57 MP1 Graphics Unit Processor (GPU). These specifications are sufficient to play mobile video games on the device, especially for random, users who do not put a lot of demand on their devices with high-grade games.

Battery, Charging, and Connectivity.

A massive 5,000mAh powers the Realme C35. The Li-Po battery is charged by a wired 18W Fast Charger, making it convenient even for heavy phone users, who need reliable power, and fast charging on the go. The battery guarantees two days of normal usage, which is incredible considering most of the target segment of the budget smartphones are average users. The fast-wired charger connects to the phone through a Type-C 2.0 USB port.

In terms of connectivity, the realme phone supports up to 4G connectivity, with speeds up to HSPA 42.2/5.76 Mbps, LTE-A. It has a micro USB port for charging and transfer of data. The device supports Bluetooth connectivity (5.0, A2DP, LE), Wi-Fi 802.11, and Hotspot Connectivity when sharing the internet with other devices and an FM Radio.
